ASWSU Branches
In order to better serve the students, ASWSU is divided into three distinct, separate branches: Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches.
The Executive Branch consists of a President and Vice President, two officials who are elected by the entire student body, who serve as the main spokesmen of the undergraduate students. They appoint the rest of their executive staff who will help them with their vision for ASWSU that will benefit students.
The Legislative Branch consists of an 18 person Senate, with one or more elected from each living area and several as-large seats. Senators are expected to frequently discuss issues and concerns with their constituents, create legislation and resolution representing the needs and desires of students, work on individual projects benefiting their constituents and serve on ASWSU committees. Four senators are serve at large for the whole campus and are elected by the entire student body.
The Judicial Branch consists of 7 independent officers who make up the ASWSU Judicial Board. They are most active during the ASWSU elections in March.
